Wild Encounters

Our Story

Nurturing Singapore's Urban Biodiversity

In the heart of our vertical city, nature persists in the quiet hours. Our mission is to bridge the gap between the concrete jungle and the vibrant ecosystems that pulse within it.

We advocate for low-impact observation, ensuring that our presence serves only to document and protect, never to disrupt. Our community-driven walks transform residents into citizen scientists, fostering a profound connection to the land we share.

The Evolution

From a solitary observer to a collective force.

The Founding Seeds (2018)

Wild Encounters began as a series of midnight notebooks. Our founder, realizing the lack of specialized nocturnal documentation in Singapore, began hosting informal treks for fellow enthusiasts. What started as three people with headlamps grew into a movement.

Building the Community (2022)

We transitioned into a structured naturalist-led community. By inviting specialists in herpetology, entomology, and botany, we elevated our walks from simple hikes to immersive educational masterclasses.
